| From the seafront |
Come along the sea front from Torquay town centre to the Livermead House Hotel. The turning is on the right hand side by the hotel, signposted Cockington Country Park. Follow the lane into the village to the junction.
Cockington is served by three car parks, Cockington Village and Higher Lodge Car park. The car park at the rear of Cockington Court is most suitable for disabled access. Turn right and bear left towards the Drum Inn. Just past the main Village Car park is a Bus Stop on the left hand side, take the left hand turning to the Drum Inn, sign posted Cockington Court, Meeting Rooms. Follow the lane right up to the back of the Court, passing the stable on the right hand side. There is a Pay and Display Car Park straight ahead. Charges in this car park are £1.50 for 2 Hours and £3.00 for 2-12 hours; Blue badge Holders 1 hour free. Torbay Council annual parking permits are honoured, in the car park to the rear of Cockington Court as are Torbay Council blue disabled badges |
By Bus |
The number 12 bus runs approximately every 10 minutes throughout the day. Take the bus to Cockington Lane/Livermead House Hotel. Walk up Cockington Lane and through the Watermeadows on the boardwalk, a 20 minute walk. Unfortunately, the route is not suitable for wheelchairs.
The No.62 bus runs Monday to Saturday (10am to 4.25pm). You can catch the bus from Princess Gardens and Torre Abbey Sands. Travel is free for all over 60's with a UK bus pass. |

| By Train |
| Cockington is accessible by train. Change at Newton Abbot for Torquay station. Cockington is a five minute walk along Hennapyn Road, through the Watermeadows and boardwalk. |

| Berry Head National Nature Reserve is signposted from Brixham. The site is situated at the end of Gillard Road. Drive past Landscove Holiday Village up a single track road which leads to the car park and Visitor Centre. There is ample car parking at Berry Head. |
| By Bus |
| The number 12 bus serves Brixham. The service runs approximately every 10 minutes throughout the day. Take the bus to Brixham and follow the signs to Berry Head. The walk takes 30 minutes, part of which is steep. |
Directions to Sharkham Point
| From Paignton |
| Follow the road in Brixham, following the signs for Berry Head. Come in on Monkbridge Road and follow for ¼ mile until you reach the mini roundabout. Turn left and stay on the road until you reach the traffic lights. Turn right into Caster Road. Follow the road all the way up until you reach a tree in the middle of the road. Turn left at the tree, following the sharp corner all the way round. Take the left fork, then the right fork into St Marys Road and follow into the car park. |

| The Seashore Centre is located next to Quaywest Waterpark in Tanners Road, off Dartmouth Road, at Goodrington, Paignton. Quaywest is signposted throughout Paignton. There are public car parks close to the Seashore Centre at Goodrington. |

By car from the M5: Once you reach Newton Abbot, travel down the A380 heading for Torquay until you come to a main roundabout where the A380 turns right on the Torquay ringroad for Paignton and Brixham.
Take the right turn onto the A380 and follow it until you come to the second roundabout. Here take the first exit on your left onto Preston Down Road . Occombe Farm car park is a further 300 metres on your left hand side. Parking is free of charge. |
| By car from the A38: Exit A38 at junction for Totnes/Paignton and follow signs through Dartington and Totnes for Paignton. After 8 miles you reach a major set of traffic lights with directions left for the A380 ringroad and right for Brixham. Go left and follow the ringroad, going straight over at the first roundabout and at the second take the last exit on your right onto Preston Down Road . Follow directions as above. |
| By bus: the no.60 bus runs Monday to Saturday from Daddyhole Road and The Strand, Torquay to Occombe farm and then onto Paignton. The No 61 bus runs Monday to Saturday from Paignton Bus Station and then onto Torquay. |
