Nestled in the heart of Cockington lies Cockington Country Park, a beautiful country estate cared for by Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust. A park that is also home to Redbay Design, a landscape consultancy that specialises in design through to delivery of sustainable landscape solutions.
Redbay and Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust have a shared ethos to preserve and enhance the natural environment, and it is this that has sparked a blossoming collaboration, resulting in Redbay planning and installing a vibrant new flower bed within the park.
Redbay have donated their time and effort to install the flower bed, as well as covered the cost, in a bid to support the conservation efforts of Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, a conservation charity that cares for nearly 80% of all Torbay’s green spaces.
Cockington Country Park sprawls across 450 acres and is loved by locals and visitors alike. Within the park lies 3 ornamental lakes, a meadow, church, memorial rose garden as well as Cockington Court – a historic manor house where Redbay Design have been based since 2012.
Nick Perrett, Director at Redbay Design, expressed the company’s pleasure in contributing to Cockington Country Park’s rejuvenation. “Redbay are delighted to work with the Trust given our shared love of Cockington and our skills as landscape architects.”
Nick together with Gardeners Rob and Glynn from Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust, created and executed a carefully produced plan that was sympathetic to its location and climate.
The partnership between Redbay Design and Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust showcases how businesses can positively impact their local environment and contribute to the preservation of Torbay’s green spaces for generations to come.
