We are now turning out our livestock across Torbay. Expect to see cattle and sheep grazing at Cockington, Maidencombe (both sides of the village) and around Brixham at Gillard Road Nature Reserve, Berry Head National Nature Reserve and Sharkham Point. Our livestock have an important role to play in land management and conservation, maintaining habitats and supporting wildlife.
We would like to remind everyone to keep your dogs under control whilst out walking in areas with livestock grazing. Please close gates after you and keep to marked paths. This will help to ensure the safety of your dog, the welfare of other visitors and the welfare of our livestock. We ask all dog owners to be particularly mindful of the fear, distress and harm that a loose dog can inflict on livestock. Thank you in advance for your care and support.
